Welcome to St. John's Episcopal Church
WELCOME to St. John’s Episcopal Church, OKC. St. John’s was founded in 1917 as a mission congregation of St. Paul’s Cathedral. We quickly grew and have moved three times in our history. We have been in our current location in Northwest Oklahoma City since 1966. At that time, we were on the edge of town; now we are near the population center of our area.
We offer a variety of worship opportunities on Sundays and throughout the week, ranging from the more formal and “traditional” to the more contemporary. We also gather regularly for fellowship, education, Bible study and prayer.
Our mission statement reads,
“We welcome all to live and proclaim
the Gospel of Jesus Christ.”
In the spirit of our mission, we are always working toward being a more open and inviting congregation to all people. You are welcome at St. John’s regardless of age, race, religious background, marital or partnered status, gender identity or sexual orientation.
I invite you to explore our website to discover the many ministries within the church as well as those that reach out to the community, particularly our shared ministry with the families, friends and staff of St. John’s School, which shares our campus and transforms the lives of children from six weeks old through the 8th grade.
I invite you to come and visit us. Please contact me if you have any questions. My email is firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Rev. David R. Stock
